ABOUT ME

My name is Diane Vasquez, I’m 20 years old and I live in Forest Hills, Queens. That’s where I attended and graduated high school. The school was Forest Hills High School. One thing I’ve always hated about school is Math, I absolutely can’t stand it. I don’t understand the point in adding or subtracting letters.
I was born on February 1st, 1987, which makes me an Aquarius and no, I’m not a stubborn person. My parents were born and raised in Peru but then they came here and I was born, along with my 2 other brothers and my older sister. My favorite foods are Kentucky Fried Chicken and Chinese food. I also like sushi. I work for a catering company, they throw all different types of parties, from big weddings in a big location to special events in one’s private home. I also do promotional work with them. I like my job because I like being around people and that’s all I do. I love listening to music. I listen to a lot of hip hop, R&B and some rock. Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Dip Set and Linkin Park are some of my favorites at the moment.
When I’m at home, I’m usually taking care of my puppy. His name is King and he’s a year old red-nose pit. A lot of people get scared of him but he really is a very sweet dog. On television, I like watching Forensic Files, Detective Files, basically all the crime investigating shows. I find the human mind very interesting. I am currently enrolled in LaGuardia Community College, I’m pursuing to become a criminal psychologist. I used to want to be a nurse but I later realized I don’t like hospitals. I can only be in there for a certain amount of time, it bothers me to see people in pain. After doing two years in LaGuardia, I’m planning on transferring to John Jay. They major in criminal justice so that would work out for me.
The theme for this semester is going green. I am looking forward to this because it sounds like something different. In this class, I think some difficulties I’ll be having are my conclusions in my essays. I write pretty good essays but I always seem to get stuck in the end.
